The Youth Global Forum 2027 (YGF) is an international leadership event taking place in Paris, France, from January 20 to 23, 2027. It is organized by the Centre for Global Governance & Leadership (CGDL), a Canadian public policy institute based in Toronto, and is open to applicants from all nationalities.

The Forum brings together students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, activists, and NGO leaders interested in leadership, policy, and global affairs. Out of 250 total seats, 30 are Fully Funded and 40 are Partially Funded, both awarded through competitive selection. The application deadline for funded seats is November 18, 2026.

About Youth Global Forum 2027

YGF 2027 is a platform for leadership development, policy dialogue, and international networking. Delegates attend keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, and policy masterclasses over four days.

This is the 2nd edition of YGF. The first edition was held in Madrid, Spain, in January 2026. CGDL also runs related forums, including YDF 2026 (Berlin) and YEF (Geneva and an upcoming 2026 edition).

A defining feature of YGF 2027 is guided institutional visits to UNESCO Headquarters and other international organizations in Paris.

Participation Categories

YGF 2027 offers four ways to attend, split between competitive (funded) and guaranteed (paid) categories:

Competitive Selection:

  • Fully Funded (30 seats)
  • Partially Funded (40 seats)

Guaranteed Selection (no competitive review):

  • Forum Admission (100 seats)
  • Self-Funded (80 seats)

Fully Funded Opportunity

The Fully Funded category offers 30 seats. Selected delegates receive:

  • Round-trip international airfare support
  • Twin-shared accommodation at a 4-star hotel
  • Meals and coffee breaks during the Forum
  • Full Forum participation, workshops, and policy masterclasses
  • Guided institutional visits, including UNESCO Headquarters
  • Official visa invitation letter and support
  • Conference materials and Certificate of Recognition

There are also 40 Partially Funded seats, which include everything above except airfare. Both categories share one unified application form, with a $16.99 non-refundable application fee.

Guaranteed Categories (Paid, No Selection)

If you don’t want to compete for a funded seat, or want a confirmed spot, three paid options are available:

  • Forum Admission ($499, regular $799.99): Forum access, meals, workshops, institutional visits, visa letter, and certificate. No airfare or accommodation.
  • Self-Funded ($799, regular $999.99): Everything in Forum Admission, plus 4-star twin-shared accommodation. No airfare.
  • Visa Invitation Letter Only ($99, regular $299.99): A signed, stamped invitation letter, Forum confirmation, and embassy coordination support. This fee can later be applied toward a full registration.

Eligibility Criteria

You can apply if you:

  • Are between 16 and 46 years old at the time of the Forum
  • Are from any nationality
  • Come from any academic or professional background
  • Have an interest in leadership, policy, diplomacy, sustainability, or global affairs
  • Can participate in person in Paris for the full four days

No prior leadership experience is required.

Selection Criteria (Fully & Partially Funded)

Applications for the funded categories are reviewed using a rubric based on:

  • Motivation and clarity of purpose
  • Leadership potential and community engagement
  • Relevance to the Forum’s themes
  • Global awareness and commitment to learning

  1. Decide which category fits you: Fully Funded, Partially Funded, Forum Admission, or Self-Funded
  2. For Fully or Partially Funded, complete the unified application form and pay the $16.99 fee
  3. Write clear, specific answers about your motivation and leadership background
  4. For guaranteed categories, register directly and pay the applicable fee
  5. Submit your application before November 18, 2026 (funded categories)
  6. Await results if applying for a funded seat; guaranteed seats are confirmed on registration
