About the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2027

The Globalink Research Internship is for international undergraduate students who want hands-on research experience in Canada.

For the 2027 Globalink Research Internship, Requirements are;

  • Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or combined undergraduate-master’s program at an eligible institution.

  • Have one to three semesters remaining as of fall 2027.

Country-Specific Eligibility for Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2027

Pakistan

Pakistani students can apply from all Pakistani universities. All academic disciplines are eligible, and the minimum cumulative GPA is 80%.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or combined undergraduate-master’s program. Students enrolled only in a master’s program are not eligible. No language proficiency exam is required.

India

Indian students must be Indian nationals studying at an eligible institution. For 2027, eligible applicants are students in B.E. or B.Tech. programs.

The minimum cumulative GPA is 70%, and no language proficiency exam is required.

United States

U.S. students must be U.S. citizens enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. university.

All disciplines are eligible, and no language proficiency exam is required. U.S. applicants must apply through Fulbright Canada rather than the regular Mitacs application platform.

United Kingdom

UK students must be enrolled at an eligible UK institution and apply through the Universities UK International (UUKi) process.

For 2027, the minimum weighted average is 60% for students meeting their university’s widening participation or equivalent criteria, or 65% for students who do not. Candidates must be verified by UUKi and nominated by their institution.
