Eligibility Criteria for Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship 2027
You may be eligible for the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship 2027 if you:
- Are an international student who requires a Canadian study permit.
- Are enrolled in your final year of senior secondary school during the 2026–2027 academic year, or graduated no earlier than June 2026.
- Plan to begin your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027.
- Have not already started post-secondary studies.
- Are not starting post-secondary studies in January 2027 at the University of Toronto or another post-secondary institution.
- Are nominated by your current secondary school.

School Nomination for Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship 2027
You cannot apply for the Pearson Scholarship without a school nomination.
Each participating high school can nominate one student per year. Schools that have previously participated receive access to the nomination form starting July 6, 2026.
If your school has not participated before, it can apply to join the program by noon EST on October 9, 2026. Students should therefore speak with their guidance counsellor, principal, or head of school early.
